Israel closes border crossing with Gaza after riots

jerusalem - Israel closed the border crossing Kerem Shalom with Gaza on Saturday, because it was damaged during Palestinian protests. The Israeli army said that the border crossing is first repaired and that afterwards it is checked whether the situation allows to reopen the post. The post will remain open for humanitarian aid.

A Palestinian was killed on Friday by new confrontations between demonstrators and Israeli soldiers in the border between Israel and Gaza. Also, according to medical workers, almost a thousand demonstrators were injured. During the protests the Palestinians set fire to pieces of the post Kerem Shalom.
