Israel blacklists 20 organizations

jerusalem - Israel denies access to the country to members of twenty organizations worldwide. According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, these are organizations that explicitly call for a boycott of Israel.

The Sunday published black list includes action groups from Europe and the United States. The organizations are part of the global BDS movement, which calls on citizens, businesses and institutions not to enter into relations with Israel and to boycott Israeli products as a protest against alleged human rights violations against the Palestinians. The abbreviation BDS stands for 'boycott, disinvestment and sanctions.' Last year, the Israeli parliament passed a law that made it possible for activists to refuse a visa for Israel.
