Israel army discovers tunnel under Gaza border

- The Israeli army has for the first time since the Gaza war a tunnel again almost two years ago discovered that ran to Israel under the border from the Gaza Strip. That has provided an army spokesman.

In the summer of 2014 Israel conducted a fifty-day war with the radical Islamic group Hamas, which is in power in Gaza. There were slain around 2,200 Palestinians and more than seventy Israelis. Israel during the conflict discovered more than thirty tunnels that ran beneath the border. Palestinian fighters used it to infiltrate into Israel to abduct or kill soldiers or civilians.
