- Terrorist organization Islamic State has 'fully operational' branches in eighteen countries worldwide. Thus, the presence of IS grown considerably worldwide.

The growth of the terrorist network is displayed on a secret map of the US National Counterterrorism Center which is owned by NBC News. The map from August 2016 would be intended for President Obama and his immediate staff safety.

In 2014 there were only seven countries, according to NBC where IS was active. In 2015 it increased to thirteen and now to eighteen countries including Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya and Nigeria. Almost tripled in three years.

The map also shows attempts to get a new category of 'candidate countries' where IS foothold. It involves Egypt, Indonesia, Mali, the Philippines, Somalia and Bangladesh.
