'IS hackers are Russians'

hamburg - The hackers who came to the so-called cyber caliphate of Islamic State count get their orders not from IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, but rather work on behalf of the Russian government. That suggests German intelligence, Der Spiegel reported on the authority of initiates.

The self-proclaimed jihadists of cyber caliphate 'over the past two years claiming to have had a hand in successful computer attacks include the French television channel TV 5 Monde, the US military, the US State Department and Saudi security forces. According to sources at the German intelligence IS is provisionally but not to such feats online capable, the German news magazine writes.
