baghdad - Iraqi troops conquered the town of Rawa on Friday on the terrorist group Islamic State (IS). Rawa was the last place that IS still held. The liberation marks the final end of the caliphate, the Iraqi army said.
Rawa is located on the Euphrates River in the border with Syria. Last week, Iraqi troops captured the city of al-Qaim, which is located approximately 90 kilometers from Rawa, on IS.
