'Iranians killed in attack on base in Syria'

teheran - The air raid on a Syrian air base has cost the lives of three Iranians. This is reported by the Iranian news agency Fars, which stated that the attack was carried out by 'fighters of the Zionist regime'. Israel has not confirmed to be responsible for the bombing.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported earlier that fourteen people were killed by the attack on the Tiyas Air Force base on Sunday. According to the observatory it was among others warriors with different nationalities. Israeli officials have said before that men from Iran used the base.

Moscow also accuses Israel of the attack. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, two Israeli F-15s flew eight missiles over Lebanon at the base. Russia is an important ally of the regime of the Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.
