Iranian state TV: 9 deaths in protests

On Monday, a policeman also died. The death toll thus comes to at least twenty, in the last few days ten protesters had died.

Some hundred people were arrested in Tehran. The police have already picked up 350 people in recent days.

It is already the sixth day of revolt, the worst protests since 2009. Since Thursday people in Iran are on the streets, especially to protest against the government. It is dominated by conservative Shiite clergy. The reason for the protests include corruption suspicions and the lack of economic progress.
