Iran adheres to nuclear agreements

vienna - Iran has, in terms of its nuclear activities, complied with the major restrictions imposed in 2015 in an agreement with the major powers. This appears from a quarterly report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which the Reuters news agency has seen on Thursday.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has not exceeded the permitted stocks of low enriched uranium and heavy water. Moreover, uranium is not further enriched than 3.67 percent purity, the agreed limit. The deal, which meant lifting sanctions against Tehran, was designed in such a way that Iran, if it had the intention, would take roughly a year to make an atomic bomb instead of a few months.

US President Donald Trump had serious criticism and wants the mistakes in the agreement to be restored. He called on the European Allies and the Congress to help with this.

The IAEA report also states that Iran has said in a letter that 'a decision has been taken to build nuclear reactors for marine propulsion in the future. 'The Vienna-based UN nuclear watchdog has asked Iran for' further explanation and additional information 'about, among other things, the design. Tehran has not reacted yet.
