India furious at Snapchat

Tech April 18, 2017 07:54

new delhi - Snapchat is under heavy fire in India. According to a former employee's CEO Evan Spiegel once said that India was too poor for the app. Snapchat Mirror denies ever said such a thing, but that's fallen on deaf ears. Social media company gets considerable criticism, including calls to boycott it. The app received a load and angry reviews on the App Store just one star.

Snapchat is sued by Anthony Pump Liano. He worked in 2015 for Snapchat, but was sacked after three weeks. Pump Liano thinks he was dismissed unfairly and therefore went to court. In his claim, he said that he had ever proposed to Spiegel to invest more in certain countries. Mirror would have replied that Snapchat '' just for rich people '' and that he does not want to '' extend to poor countries like India and Spain. '

India is the fastest growing smartphone market in the world. Snapchat currently has about 4 million users in the country.

Snapchat last month went to the fair. The prices initially rose rapidly, but have since fallen sharply.
