Increasing numbers of wolves in Germany

- There are more and more wolves from the German forests. Biologists counted the last few months, 31 packs and eight pairs, mostly in the nature reserves in the east of the country.

A year ago, that when counting another 25 packs, eight pairs and three solitary animals. The biologists specialized Lupus Institute estimate the total number of wolves at about 350. The wolf did not come for many years in Germany in 2000, another was spotted coming from Poland. Since then, the state has steadily increased.

The wolf is a protected species but not everyone cares about in there, it appears. Of the 109 animals in the last twelve months were killed, were killed fifteen.

The wolves come in Germany in all eastern states and in neighboring northern Netherlands Lower Saxony.
