- Three Spanish freelance journalists who allegedly were abducted in Syria are free. The trio waits in Turkey on a government plane that brings them back to Spain, writes El País.

Antonio Pampliega, José Manuel López and Ángel Sastre had traveled to Aleppo in July for a journalism research, but suddenly disappeared without a trace. In the besieged city of millions were repeatedly abducted journalists.

Deputy Prime Minister Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría said the three have already spoken, reports El País. The Spanish newspaper drew from the mouth of insider sources that journalists also owe their release to the efforts of,, allies and friendly countries '', in particular Turkey and Qatar.
