aleppo - Despite the devastating civil war, there is still a Syrian citizen who cares about the fate of cats. In an asylum outside of Aleppo, a hundred animals lead a quiet life.

Mohammad Alaa Aljaleel opens his asylum in Aleppo at the beginning of the war, in 2013. As the war escalates, Mohammad flees to the countryside outside Aleppo. With the worsening of the situation in his city, the number of cats in his shelter is also increasing. More and more fleeing compatriots bring their pet to Mohammad. Meanwhile, the former nurse provides more than 100 cats. With some regularity he sends a picture of the animals to the owners. Children playing also know 'Ernesto's House'- named after his first cat- to be found.
