'In 2020, five million apps in the App Store'

- The App Store from Apple will be filled by 2020 with more than five million apps. That would mean more than doubling the current number of apps can be downloaded. Games remain by far the most popular. Conclude market researchers in the United States in a report published Wednesday.

Sensor Towers researchers based their study of more historical data from the App Store since its launch in 2008. It was a period looked at the number of apps that has been used actively and not to the launch of the total number of apps.

In late 2008, were available from the App Store 5000 app. Since then, that number has grown explosively. The end of 2015 there appeared 1.75 million apps available.
