'Imagine pregnancies out because zikavirus'

- Authorities in El Salvador advise women not to become pregnant for the time being. By zikavirus that haunts the land can possibly birth defects occur in infants. Earlier, Colombia also came though with such a call.

The government of El Savador called Thursday for women planning pregnancy until 2018 to put in the refrigerator. The Colombian government advised to postpone pregnancy. Women would as a precaution still certainly have to wait six to eight months.

The zikavirus is transmitted by mosquitoes. Scientists suspect that the virus leads to microcephaly in infants. Children will be born with an abnormally small head. The brains are not well developed and often therefore, there is a learning disability.
