berlin - Tierpark Berlin, one of two zoos in Berlin, is deprived of its main attraction of the moment. The four-month-old polar bear Fritz died Monday of liver inflammation.

'We are stunned, very sad and depressed,' the zoo wrote on the website. Fritz was born on November 3 and then quickly grew into 'heir' of the famous Knut. Who was born in December 2006 in the other Berlin zoo, Zoo Berlin, and died in March 2011.

Tierpark Berlin announced Friday yet know that Fritz 'very fast' would be shown to the public at the zoo. Sunday the animal was remarkably quiet. After investigation it was discovered Monday that he had a severe inflammation of the liver.
