ICT project costs millions of additional police

rotterdam - The government has again vertild a large ICT project. The replacement of the digital archive of the National Police will cost millions of euros extra.

Thursday, according to research by the AD. Police bought in 2013 the Documentum system and it takes more than three years later is still not complete. The damage runs into millions of euros.

Until late last year, the police had 12.7 million euros in the new system. Most of it was spent on licensing and maintenance. In addition, 51 000 man hours put into the project. As external consultants were flown last year to get the system still on track. When that failed, had to pay extra for a further 2.5 million early this year to keep the precursor of Documentum, Corsa, in the air longer.
