Hungary will block sanctions against Poland

budapest - Hungary will veto any EU sanctions against Poland. This was said by the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban Friday. Orban spoke Wednesday with the leader of the party Law and Justice (PiS), which governs Poland, Jaroslaw Kaczynski.
The new Polish government is criticized by some parties in Europe undemocratic because it would proceed. The PiS won the parliamentary elections in October last year by more than 37 percent of the vote. The party got so large majorities in both chambers of parliament.
Thursday the Polish president Andrzej Duda drew a controversial media law. Which provides that the government can appoint directors and editors of public broadcasting itself and firing. The opposition, journalists and human rights organizations argue that the Conservative government get so far too much power over the media.
