Huge cocaine trap in Colombia

World October 23, 2017 21:36

barranquilla - The police in Colombia intercepted a 2438 kilogram cocaine. The drugs were found in a ship located in the port of Barranquilla. The search was preceded by months of research.

The cocaine appeared from a container of wood. According to the Colombian justice, the ship had the destination of the South Spanish port of Algeciras.

According to the United Nations, the Colombian production of cocaine, the main ingredient of cocaine, has grown sharply lately. The Colombian government hoped in 2016 after the conclusion of a peace treaty with the FARC rebels that cocoa production would decline. FARC used the proceeds of coca to fund its actions. But everything indicates that the opposite is true and more and more cocaine is being produced.
