Hotel in South Tyrol vacated after avalanche

graun im vinschgau - A hotel in the north of Italy has been evacuated after an avalanche in the neighborhood. Approximately 75 tourists and a few residents were flown with helicopters from Graun im Vinschgau in South Tyrol, according to the Italian news agency ANSA.

The avalanche collapsed from the mountain flanks in the night from Monday to Tuesday. As far as we know, no injuries have occurred. The highest avalanche warning applies in the area and the expectation is that there will be many more avalanches due to the wind.
