'Homeless hero' confesses: I stole from Manchester victims

World January 3, 2018 13:54

manchester - The 'homeless hero' who was just praised shortly after the bombing at the Manchester Arena because he reacted adequately and helped many victims, has known in court that he just stole a wallet and a mobile phone right after the attack.

He also tried to steal a bag and a coat, Metro knows. He stole the wallet from Pauline Healey, while her granddaughter Sorrell Leczkowski (14) was fighting for her life a few meters away.

Chris Parker (33) could ultimately confess nothing but confess. Within a few hours after he had stolen the wallet, he used the debit card at a local McDonald's. He actually had to appear in court on Tuesday, but did not show up. Eventually he turned out to hide in a loft of a house. An arrest followed.

The homeless Parker was praised worldwide when he described on social media how he had cared for the wounded.
