Hollande unveils plaque

- French President Francois Hollande in Paris on Saturday commemorated the policewoman who a year ago was killed by a terrorist. He did so by unveiling a plaque in the suburb of Montrouge just south of the capital.


         The 26-year-old Clarissa Jean-Philippe was on January 8, 2015, a day after the attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, was shot dead by Amedy Coulibaly. The terrorist came over the next day, the kosher supermarket Hyper Cacher. In these terrorist acts took three offenders a total of seventeen people dead.
The violence shocked France, later in the year once again targeted by terrorists. In the attacks on November 13 in Paris were 130 people killed.
In recent days, the victims of Charlie Hebdo are commemorated. For Saturday night is still a ceremony at Hyper Cacher planned and on Sundays there is a tribute to the Place de la République for the victims.
