guwahati - A group of about twenty Hindu activists killed in the Indian state of Assam two young Muslims because they would have planned to steal cows for slaughter.
The two men from the age of 20 to 25 were seated in the village of Nagaon more than a mile and a half. They were severely injured when the police arrived and later died in the hospital. The police did not hold anyone, reported Indian media.
Hindu activists demand a ban on the slaughter of cows, which are holy to them. Since the Hindu Nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party in 2014 came to power with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India, the activists stepped up.
