High North Korean in US for top Kim-Trump

Kim Yong-chol will have a meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to discuss the possible meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Kim is deputy chairman of the central committee of the ruling Labor Party and the highest North Korean official to visit the US since 2000. It is expected that he and Pompeo will try to remove the last thresholds to a summit meeting.
