Heartwarming: man (84) learns make-ups for almost blind woman (83)

- The 84-year-old Des Monahan from Ireland has recently started make-up classes, to learn how he can make the make-up of his 83-year-old woman, Mona, for when the time comes that she can no longer do this herself. Mona slowly loses her vision.

The couple has been married for 56 years and still very much in love. It will not be long until Mona can see nothing. She finds it difficult to distinguish shapes and colors from each other, making it almost impossible to do her own make-up routine. This is how the Daily Mail reports.

Her husband, Des, knows how important it is for his wife to look cared for. He has taken matters into his own hands and enrolled to take make-up classes. This way she can still look beautiful, without being able to see it herself.

Since October, Des receives lessons from Rosie O'driscoll. At the beginning he found it difficult to determine which brushes he could use best, but with motivation and help, Des is now a real make-up professional.
