Hawaii hit by series of earthquakes

pahoa - The island of Hawaii was hit by a series of earthquakes after the volcanic eruption of a day earlier.

The American Geological Research Bureau reported two quakes in quick succession with a force of 5. 7 and 5. 8. Certainly the last quake could have caused serious damage, but according to the authorities, the quake was not heavy enough to cause a tsunami.

The epicenter of the quakes is located 19.3 kilometers southwest of the town of Leilani Estates. The inhabitants of this place had already been evacuated after the eruption of the Kilauea volcano a day earlier. On video footage, we could see how magma rose through a hole in the road and how lava flowed through the forest.
