larne - Police in Northern Ireland have arrested two men who go joyriding in a stolen fire truck and then wreaking enormous havoc.

A 19-year-old boy and 66-year-old man broke in the night from Saturday to Sunday in a fire station and decided to take a vehicle for a joyride. During the wild ride hit a large number of houses and cars at the Glenarm Road damaged.

The 19 year old suspect is being accused of burglary and dangerous driving. The 66-year-old suspect is suspected of burglary and causing damage to homes and cars in the public space.

Police Chief Gordon Lyons Larne tells us: 'Breaking into a barracks and theft of fire is obvious contempt for the people of Larne and the people who work in the fire service. '

Lyons reports that miraculously not injured 'but by creating chaos by driving around in a way, shows how far some people are willing to go. '
