Hackers steal data millions of Americans

atlanta - Equifax Credit Bureau has been hit by cyber attacks. Hackers thus gained access to credit card details, home addresses, birth dates and other information from potentially 143 million Americans.

The hackers also gained access to personal information from customers from Canada and Britain from Equifax. This involves many fewer people.

In an internal investigation at the end of July, Equifax discovered that the personal data of millions of people had come to the ground by cyber attacks. The company only released that information on Thursday.
