newark - A hacker from Ukraine has to enter the cell for 2.5 years in the United States. He had not yet stolen published posts from press offices so that he could deal with shares with insider knowledge. That gave him millions. A court in New Jersey sentenced him to Monday. He must also repay 3 million dollars (2.7 million euros).

Vadim Iermolovich (29) had illegal access to PR Newswire, Business Wire and Marketwired between 2010 and 2014. This way he got access to approximately 150,000 messages. He used that himself. He also sold the information on the dark web. Iermolovich could have got 20 years of cell. The penalty is low because he cooperated with justice.

Iermolovich said he had collaborated with two other Ukrainians, Ivan Toertsjinov and Oleksandr Ieremenko. They have not been picked up yet.
