- The new theater in the heart of The Hague should come final. The State Council on Wednesday rejected the objections of opponents. Appeal is not possible.

Hague wants to install a major new cultural complex on Spuiplein, next to City Hall. This requires the Lucent Dance Theatre and the Dr. Anton Philips Hall demolished. The new building should provide shelter to Dutch Dance Theatre, The Hague Philharmonic and the Royal Conservatoire. The area goes around it on the spade. For example, a vacant tower next to it must also be demolished. There were formerly the Ministries of Interior and Justice. The area must also shops, homes and get a hotel.

The complainants felt that the new building was too tall and too big. They also found that the old complex had to be refurbished rather than demolished.

Two previous plans for the project, called by opponents a 'culture palace' were canceled because there was too much opposition was against. It is planned that construction will start this year and be ready in 2019. The Hague has since 176 million over.
