Greek demonstrators attack Truman's image

athens - Greek demonstrators have tried in Athens to take down a statue of Harry Truman, the former president of the United States. They attacked the image of the American during a demonstration against the attack of Americans and allies on targets in Syria.

One witness said that the demonstrators tried, among other things, to saw through the feet of 'Truman'. The supporters of the Communist Party also reportedly attempted to topple the statue with ropes. They did not succeed in their intentions: the riot police seized and fired tear gas to disperse the crowd.
