athens - One of the most dangerous roads of Europe since Thursday safer. The infamous E75 has got a tunnel and a bridge at Tempi between Athens and Thessaloniki.
The journey between the two cities has become twenty minutes shorter. Previously the E75 at Tempi turned into a very narrow two-lane road that meandered through a scenic but dangerous ravine. The tunnel and bridge are partly financed with European money.
In recent decades, dozens of people lost on this road of life. In 2003, in a bus accident 21 school students. That was the worst accident in Greek history.
