paderborn - More than 26,000 residents of the German city of Paderborn have to leave their home on Sunday because a bomb from the Second World War is rendered harmless.

It is a 1.8 ton British dungeon that was found by a family in the center of the garden.

In a radius of 1.5 kilometers around the site, the lot is cleared until Sunday afternoon. The evacuation started on Sunday morning. Among other things, two hospitals, the university and various homes for elderly people are located in the area.

Three reception places have been set up, for example in the stadium of the local professional football club.
