Great abuse scandal in church Pennsylvania

harrisburg - Investigative authorities in the US state of Pennsylvania have revealed shocking details about sexual abuse by priests and silence about it by the Catholic Church in the US.

The authorities accuse more than three hundred priests of child sexual abuse. The abuse took place over the past seventy years and was committed in six of the eight dioceses in the state of Pennsylvania.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro, who presented the results of the investigation on Tuesday, assumes more than a thousand victims. He thinks that many victims have not yet reported. Shapiro said that high-ranking church leaders in Pennsylvania and the Vatican have stopped the abuse for decades.
