- A 72-year-old woman was rescued after nine days in a remote area in the US state of Arizona. Ann Rodgers Charon lost, according to the police when she was traveling by car to her grandchildren. Then she ran out of petrol.

The US was then started looking for a place where her cell phone had better range. When that quest failed, they had to survive forced a half weeks in a forest by eating plants and they drank from a pond.

The clever woman managed to attract the attention of rescue workers with sticks and stones by the word 'help' to write in a glade. That makeshift distress signal was seen by the crew of a helicopter.

Rescue workers then discovered a handwritten note under a rock, which Rodgers explained in which direction they went. The helicopter eventually found the woman because she had lit a fire to indicate its position. Rodgers makes for good conditions.
