Government of Sierra Leone: No panic for Ebola

freetown - The Government of Sierra Leone has called on the population Saturday not to panic because more than a hundred people Saturday quarantined for Ebola. A 22-year-old woman died earlier this week in the north of the country by the virus.


         The authorities have taken measures to prevent the spread of Ebola. The 109 people who are isolated have had contact with the deceased woman.
The announcement of the death of the woman came just hours after the World Health Organization had announced that there was an end of the Ebola epidemic in West Africa occurred.
Sierra Leone has already been declared Ebola free on November 7. The Ebola epidemic broke out in March 2014 and affected mostly the countries of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The virus took more than 11 000 lives. It was the worst outbreak of ebola until now.
