- A lawsuit by the US government against Lance Armstrong continues. A federal judge in the United States made before Monday cleared the way. The government requires 100 million US dollars (equivalent to almost 95 million euros) damages from the former cyclist, in 2012 his final seven victories in the Tour de France lost because of doping. Armstrong wanted to settle the matter through a lawsuit, but the court decided otherwise.

The US government wants Armstrong mega amount because in his time as a rider sponsorship of US Postal Service accepted while he was driving under the influence of doping. Nicole Navas, a spokeswoman for the Justice Department, declined to comment on the matter. Even Armstrong's lawyer did not.

The US postal service Postal Service paid between 2000 and 2004, $ 32.3 million in sponsorship money. When it became clear that Armstrong was guilty of doping, the company wanted to see the money back. According to Armstrong and his lawyer, the company has recovered much more money through sponsorship than they are in total invested. By that argument, they tried to be heading for a lawsuit, but that will not happen. The court must now further bending.

The doping case came in 2010 rolling by Floyd Landis, a former teammate of Armstrong. Armstrong did in early 2013 his story on television with Oprah Winfrey.
