Government Costa survives motion of distrust

lisbon - The Portuguese government has survived a motion of mistrust for failing policy during the devastating natural fires that hit the country this year. A majority of parliament did not want to send the entire cabinet of Socialist Prime Minister Antonio Costa home. The fire seas in June and October cost a total of 110 people.

The center-right opposition party CDS-PP did not find it sufficient to step up the responsible Interior Minister alone. She demanded the resignation of the entire government because it has been seriously in violation of the protection of human life. Aid was waiting for it or did not come at all.

Costa rebuffed criticism with reference to extreme weather conditions, with unprecedented hard winds and great drought. Thanks to the support of the Communist Party and the Left-wing, he can pass through. The motion was rejected by 122 against 105 votes.
