longborough - Investigator claim that thirty minutes of soaking in a warm bath (40 degrees) is as beneficial to your health as a walk of more than half an hour.

Scientists at the English University of Longborough have done research among 14 men. That reports the Daily Mail. The men first had to cycle for an hour and then they were allowed to relax for an hour in a warm bath of 40 degrees Celsius.

Of course, it became clear from the research that most calories are burned when cycling, but soaking seems to burn more than 130 calories. That is equivalent to the combustion during a walk of about thirty minutes. The high combustion took place due to the increased body temperature.

The study also showed that the blood sugar level is as much as 10 percent lower when taking a hot bath, compared to cycling.

In addition, 'passive heating' works against inflammation. In Finland, the so-called 'passive warming' is more often used as medical treatment. People go there for a while in a hot and hot sauna.
