Germany put 20,000 people out

World January 20, 2016 13:07

- Germany has deported about 20,000 people in 2015. It is expected that number will grow this year. This has more to do with accelerated asylum procedures, according to the Interior Ministry in Berlin Wednesday.

Germany has in recent years captured the lion's share of the large number of refugees in Europe. More than a million people came into the country, mostly Afghans, Syrians and Iraqis fleeing war and poverty. German Chancellor Angela Merkel are having more and more criticism of the approach to the refugee issue. The call to set clear limits on the number of refugees to be admitted is growing, even within her own CDU party.
