Germany has difficulty with expulsions

World May 24, 2018 09:00

berlin - Germany is struggling to get rejected asylum seekers out of the country. In the first three months of this year nearly half of the expulsions failed. In most cases, the persons were untraceable. There is also a growing number of pilots who refuse to take expelled migrants on board.

According to German media, 5548 asylum seekers were sent away in the first quarter of this year. In 4752 other cases, the deportation could not be carried out. In 75 of them asylum seekers were refused by pilots. Over the whole of 2017, this happened 314 times, while in 2016 139 people were not taken on board.

The pilots refuse to take the migrants with them because of aggressive and violent behavior. This attitude has little understanding among the police. According to a spokesperson, there is no danger because every asylum seeker is accompanied.
