
Germany extends border

- Germany wants to control its border with Austria perform longer. The goal is to have better control of the flow of asylum seekers entering the country there. Minister Thomas de Maizière of Internal Affairs, the European Commission in Brussels informed in writing of the intention.
As yet Germany wants to extend the arrangements for two weeks until November 13th. The situation is changing, however, and not the flow of refugees remains undiminished, then Berlin wants to extend the monitoring period by another three months, it says in the letter. Border control is allowed in Schengen countries for up to six months in case of extraordinary circumstances exist. The controls on the Bavarian- Austrian border are introduced mid-September.
