berlin - European countries express concern over potential decline in US support for Kiev due to escalating conflict in Ukraine.

European countries fear that the American support for Kiev may weaken in light of the escalating conflict in Ukraine. In a meeting held in Berlin on Monday evening, the five strongest European nations, including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Poland, discussed the current situation. The British Defense Minister praised his German counterpart, Boris Pistorius, for their collective defense spending against Russian aggression.

Boris Pistorius pointed out the impact of Donald Trump's re-election and quickly organized a meeting of the 'Big 5' within Europe to address concerns about potential diminishing American support for Kiev.

Pistorius emphasized that this conflict is no longer confined to a specific region, highlighting the involvement of soldiers from North Korea in support of the Kremlin. He also mentioned plans to use frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine's defense industry and noted the increase in drone activity in the region.

The French Minister highlighted the changing military landscape and announced plans to purchase Mistral weapons. The Polish Minister expressed the need to increase the country's defense budget to address the specific threats faced along the Ukrainian border.

Italian support for Kiev and Germany's significant contribution to the cause were also mentioned during the meeting. The consensus among the nations was that defense spending should be based on necessity rather than arbitrary percentage targets.

Lastly, the French Minister reiterated President Macron's stance on European troops in Ukraine, emphasizing that there are no taboos in addressing the ongoing crisis.
