German service fears attacks on army

World April 7, 2018 13:06

berlin - The German military security service MAD is afraid of attacks on vehicles of the German army. In an internal safety advice, the service says that 'it must be assumed that it can lead to further attacks' in response to the Turkish offensive in Syria against Kurds.

On March 13, unknowns attacked two vehicles of the Bundeswehr in Soltau where fire was founded. In a statement that probably came from extreme leftist circles, it says that it was a 'direct attack on the German-Turkish war machine'.

The Turkish army is deploying vehicles on the offensive in Syria that were previously in use by the German army. The army personnel in Germany are advised, among other things, before a trip with a vehicle is made, to check the 'wheel nuts', Der Spiegel reported. Military vehicles that have to go to a garage outside the barracks may only be tinkered in screened rooms.
