German president: no new elections

berlin - The German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier has called on political parties in his country to keep trying to form a new government. He did not appear to be feeling for new elections.

Steinmeier pointed out to the parties that they can not simply return their responsibility to the voter. He made this statement after consultation with Angela Merkel about the failure of the negotiations for a government coalition.
