German police warns Facebook photos

- Parents should be cautious about posting photos of their children on social media like Facebook. If not the right privacy settings are used pedophiles can copy them and use them for other purposes.

This warning comes from the police in Hagen in the German state of North Rhine - Westphalia . In a post on its own Facebook page , the police also points out that photos are now fun a few years can be embarrassing. Also, children have a right to privacy, is the message . Police advise parents to assure themselves of it that they use the right privacy settings so that the photos are only visible to friends. The advice has been shared more than 200.000 times.
