German 'Jamaica coalition' ever closer

World November 9, 2017 18:00

berlin - The coalition talks in Germany are becoming more concrete. Press agency DPA won a list of 125 points that the four parties involved discussed. The leaders of Angela Merkel's Christian Democratic CDU / CSU, the Liberal Conservative FDP and the Greens have previously set up their experts to seek compromise.

The list is divided into twelve main categories, including migration, climate and Europe. Groups of party specialists bumped over headaches this week. The first results of this consultation are expected on Friday.

The parties must be mutually agreed because other observers' coalitions are unlikely to be feasible. Thus, the Social Democratic SPD, Merkel's previous coalition partner, voted for the opposition. Due to the colors of the negotiating parties, black, yellow and green, it is also said of a Jamaica coalition.
