World February 22, 2016 13:56

berlin - The German government on Monday condemned as,, deeply shameful 'recent manifestations of xenophobia in Saxony. It testifies of heartlessness as refugees, including many women and children, are treated on arrival with roar and rude behavior, said government spokesman Steffen Seibert.

He reacted to events in Clausnitz, where buses with refugees last Thursday were besieged by a jeering crowd.

The leader of the refugee board is replaced. According to media reports, he was a supporter of opposition party AfD, which increasingly emerged as the extreme right according to Justice Minister Heiko Maas.

In Bautzen, also in Saxony, Sunday was a planned shelter for asylum seekers fired. Three young men were arrested. They would have hampered firefighters in extinguishing, but the prosecution is also investigating whether they were involved in the arson. The police were twenty to thirty people to look at the extinguishing work and some do not cease to hide that they were happy with the fire.

Minister Maas called political and civil society organizations to take clear stand against racism and xenophobia,, until the first dead falls. '
