German consumer WhatsApp sues

berlin - The German consumer into court WhatsApp. The chat service to transfer data from users to parent company Facebook. That was announced last year, but was postponed because of the noise.

The German court to prevent the sharing of data, is the requirement of the Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband (VZBV). The union says that Facebook will also get data from people who do not have a Facebook account. If someone uses WhatsApp also enter all the contacts in the address book of the phone on Facebook. Those people can all get advertising from Facebook, and that's going too far, according to the VZBV.
