German ambassador to Balkan about 'current dip'

World March 8, 2018 15:42

frankfurt - A German ex-minister, Klaus Töpfer, is going to the Balkans at the beginning of next week with the difficult task of solving a political as well as a practical problem for Europe. He must ensure that a lingering ethnic quarrel in the Balkans no longer disturbs the power supply in Europe. The basis of the current 'current dip' lies with electricity companies in Kosovo and Serbia in particular.

Töpfer goes among others the Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and the leader of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj. Töpfer confirmed to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung that he is on the instructions of the European energy market organization Energy Community.
