Gang of people smugglers rolled up in Spain

san sebastián - In collaboration with Europol, the Spanish police rolled up a gang that smuggled immigrants into the European Union. The police arrested six suspects in the Spanish Basque Country and one in Madrid, according to the police against the Spanish news agency Europa Press.

The gang brought about three hundred immigrants to Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal and Mali with boats via various routes to the Spanish coast. The human traffickers also provided falsified identity documents.

From the Spanish coast most illegal immigrants were transported to the Basque country. Then they traveled further to France.
